R50/53 Do MCSs get better gas mileage than the standard Cooper?

I'm lucky to get 24mpg average on a tank of gas in my 03' MC, and I don't drive 'that' hard.

i avg 19.8 to 22.3 cause i have a lead foot and im usually doing 80-90 on the hwy.

I average 32-36 mpg in my 03MC....and I do drive spiritedly. Worst I ever got outside of the track was 24mpg, best was 43mpg.

Track, about 16mpg.

With our 03, we avg about 28-30mpg around town and upper 30's on the highway. Not bad for being upgraded as well. I've been very impressed with ours.
