An open Letter from your new 2012 Events Director:
Ok, here we go. Meet up at the Village Inn at Bridgeport off I-5 at 6:30 to 7:00 pm, Leave the Village Inn at 7:00 pm together and travel to the PIR exit off I-5. We should arrive at PIR about 7:30 pm, so if you want to meet up with the club there we will re-gather outside the Christmas Lights. I will have my radio on Channel 7/ Subchannel 21. You know the routine right? We will go through the lights in a line, should exit about 8:00 / 8:15, back on I-5 north to the Jantzen Beach exit not far down the road, exit right and stay left around under I-5 stay left and watch for BJ's on your left. If we get separated BJ’s is not hard to see from the freeway, it’s on your left. At BJ's we will have a Christmas cheer, holiday wish, cocktail, or whatever. We will not sit down for dinner. This will be in the no host bar, the appetizers are great. Should be back on the road home by 9:00 or a little after unless you want to stay and socialize for a while. If you're new to the club and haven't had a chance to meet many of the members this would be a great chance to change that. If nothing else come out and meet the new event director, I would love to meet you. This is a rain or no rain run.

We had a great run tonight, the PIR Holiday lights were a lot of fun, sadly being the driver I had to keep my eyes on the road. Thanks to all of those that came out, we had 10 cars, only 9 made it on the run, the 10th was left @ the meet up location. We did get split up on I5N and ended up on inner and outer freeway lanes, the 3 in the outer lanes were able to meet up with the rest of the group as we drove along side and fell in where there was room. After getting through the Holiday Light Display, we ended up at BJ's Brewhouse where most chose to have dinner, there were some still who had Dessert. We toasted the New MINI Year, had a very nice dinner, drinks, and good friends...you couldn't have asked for a better nite!! PDX MINI Peeps are second to none!!
