"Toulin' Thru the Tulips"
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs April 1-April 30. http://www.tulipfestival.org. April 17 is also the Downtown Mt. Vernon Street Fair. Route has been planned by a Skagit Valley insider to go in the back door and has almost all right hand turns. Meet at the Everett northbound I-5 truck scales at 9 AM.

Guemes Island ferry (San Juan Islands)
Will be either 5/8 or 5/15, see http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ClubMini/ for local conversation regarding this and all events.

2nd Annual "MINIs Storm Alki to Greet the Seafair Pirates". http://www.seafair.com/ Meet on Harbor Avenue, just off the West Seattle Bridge, at noon. Drive will include Alki Pointe and Beach Drive to Fauntleroy. Lunch will be at Endolyne Joe's.

"Cooper Meets the Saint"
Celebrate John Cooper's 81st birthday by taking your MINI to Windy
Ridge on Mt. St. Helens.
Windy Ridge twisties have been touted by many. Exact route
has not yet been planned (suggestions have been made). The
southbound morning meeting place has not yet been determined.
Bring-your-own picnic lunch *is* planned due to remote location.
Birthday cake, anyone??
PDX MINI (Portland MINI group) members will be joining us for this
event.

Snoqualmie/Blewett/Stevens passes. Departs Issaquah at 9 AM, location to be determined (probably same as last year)
October 9, 2004
2nd Annual "MINIs On the Mount"
(was "Do More Passes to Mt. Rainier"
Hwy 410 over the pass, return on Hwys 7/12, with a run up to Paradise on Mt. Rainier in the afternoon. Departs Auburn at 9 AM (probably same location as last year)

As you must be in the Seattle area, how's the service at our one and only MINI dealer? Did you buy your MINI from them or is yours from out of state? I am just about ot put a deposit down on one from a NY dealer. Any thoughts or suggestions? PM me if you can't be publically specific.
Northwest MINI in Fife seems to have delivered more positive experiences than negative ones. I have been very happy with them. See the Dealer Rating System page for Washington for 17 reviews (at last count), including mine.

That said, if there are issues between clubs, their leadership, etc. please keep them offline. In the future if there are new clubs announcing their formation and events please start a new thread. We meet at Causland Park in Anacortes at 2:00 pm, get organized, then caravan to the Guemes Ferry dock, about 5 blocks away, to line up for the 3:00 Ferry. It would be great to line up at about 2:30. We will load the ferry, cruise to Guemes Island, tour the island, have a late lunch/dinner, and maybe a dance. Maybe a commemorative T-Shirt, too! We need 30 Mini's to break the record!!! RIDE OF YOUR LIFE $5 "fund racing" event
As a tie in to the 2nd Annual "MINIs Storm Alki to Greet the Seafair Pirates", I am coordinating a *fund racing* event for a local charity for two hours prior to the scheduled meeting time for the Alki/Beach Drive tour and lunch at Endolyne Joe's.
Those wishing to participate in giving "joy rides" to the public please arrive at 10 AM to tour the route. Route length is approx. 1.5 miles, average speed 30 mph. Some wooded/windy road, as well as residential area included. Beautiful views of downtown part of the tour.
If you would like to participate, please complete a "Collector CARd Info Sheet" by June 30, 2004 and submit to GRNSTRK@pensandpixels.com. Please see http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ClubMINI/ for other files associated with this and other area events.
