New To a Mini

Just got my first mini. I have been wanting one for a very long time and this past week I found the one I have been looking for.

2007 mini s. Lowered, exhaust, intake, drilled and slotted rotors. Has a cold weather package. Only thing it doesn't have, which was almost a deal breaker. is the panoramic sunroof. The mini comes with arguably the BEST sunroof out of any other car. Mine is just a hardtop. *sigh* But once I got in and drove it, i was in love.

Great looking car - welcome.
I actually DIDN'T want the sunroof on my car because it clashes with the white roof. But on your car that's not an issue. Oh well. If you want to get everything just so, it means paying more. Especially in my case (bought a fixer-upper).

BTW, now that I've had the car one year, I like the sunroof. Not to rub it in. Just agreeing with you that it's nice.

Well take heart because the sunroof adds weight so you've got a less top-heavy slightly quicker (in milliseconds) mini. Someone told me the sunroof adds about 60 lbs but I'm not sure if that weight spec is accurate.

By the way, nice looking ride. I wish mine came with an exhaust/intake.

Thanks! yea i like that it has the basics done to it before i got it. I was looking for a front grill badge I saw on another mini there. It was an r56 badge, looked pretty cool. on the upper front grill. Any idea where I can find it? or a good place to start browsing for parts for this car? like good mini websites for upgrades

Just head to the vendor section on the left of the page. You should find most of what you might want. Careful, you may find more...

Your right. I found a lot more than I needed, but I can't seem to find a tanneau cover for the boot. Anyone know where I can get one cheaPer than at the dealer? I have one apparently from a slightly older mini. Probably just the years before mine. I also have a pair of front rubber mini S mats that don't seem to match up to my car. So if anyone has one for my year and wants these 2 things I'd gladly trade . Or if anyone knows a good place to look for a 07-11 mini tanneau cover, that'd be great. I'll be complete with that peice.

You should probably keep an eye on the market place here. Stuff like this always comes up but you need to be quick because the East Coasters get up pretty early.
