Well? What happened?

The suspense is killing me.

My guess: Jtrem turns a 16.2, the MX-5 does 15.9

Sorry I kept you all waiting. I won! I ran a 16.874 at 80 something and he turns a 17.126 at almost 80. It was hard for him to launch his car really good since it was an automatic. He floored it, but it seams like it didnt kick in for atleast a couple of seconds. By that time I had a large enough lead not to let him catch me. He wants a rematch because he said his car can do better than it did. Which I dont think it was the cars fault it was his! haha Ill post the drag slip when I get the chance to scan it. ALl i know is that he owes me breakfast tomorrow!

Way to go! I never would've thought the MX-5 auto was that buttery, but I guess it is. Maybe he put on a few extra pounds, must be all those breakfasts he has to buy.

There are certain launch techniques for automatics, and it could indeed be him and not the car. Your weight difference (130 vs 210) is also substantial. It would be interesting to see the results if you switched cars (if he drives manual, or what time you can do in his car).

i can probably borrow his car for a day to see what time I could get in it. He cant drive a manuel so it would be hard for him to use my car. Im just glad that I was able to win and gain bragging rights against him!
