For any F1 fans and so forth, Formula 1 is on ESPN 2

I hope not, Speed's F1 coverage is excellent. Yeah it's got too much Nascar crap on the schedule, but they do F1 right for the most part.

 

I believe what he was saying is F1 was not racing THAT WEEKEND.

And I think the OP saw the Formula Atlantic race on ESPN2 and mistook it for F1.

 

If F-1 wanted to make a mark in the US, they'd buy a TV station just like NASCAR did when they bought into SPEED. Yes, NASCAR, indirectly, owns the SPEED channel. F-1 could do the same, but doesn't choose to do so.

FWIW, F-1 has too little regard for safety of it's participants, course workers and spectators.

 

I would qualify that statement if I were you. I would be very curious to hear your rationale for your opinion.

 

I've posted it here on NAM before, even in real time with actually watching the race and keeping a dialog going. It dates back to 2004 and then again in 2005. I have very strong feelings about this and nothing anyone says will change that fact. As much as I enjoyed watching F1 (close to 30 years of watching the sport), I am now no longer tuning in.
