We have a 2003 GT, and it has been a great car, no problems at all, I am amazed, because at that time we need something cheap to run around, then when we bought my wife's VW Jetta TDI, we found out that the Accent lost so much value, so decided to keep it as well. Now 25,000 miles after 3 years, no a single problem. They are improving real well.

DID,

That car looks killer. Wish they market it like that. Cheap alternative for MC

Another 10 years, and people will have all but forgotten the pieces of crap they used to make. I still have nightmares of my girlfriend's '00 Accent, but Hyundai is getting better by the day.

Damn Straight!

Take the badge off the grille for a moment, and just look at it. Just look at it.

Is it the new CRX? Does it hold true to the tenants of the new MINI (aggressive looks, light wieght, small size, something unexepected). How great is it that there may be a car that looks costs less than a MC, and wieghs less than a MC (2005 accent weighs 2280 lbs), and has nearly as much power as a 2006 JCW.

to Hyundai for having a concept car that makes us question everything we know about Hyundai (including what we already knew about how great the new Sonata was).

Now, let's all say a collective prayer for the MK2 MINI. :impatient :impatient :impatient :impatient

nice ride...

--That's a real good looking Hyundai. GASP! Did I say that out loud? Just kidding, actually Hyundai's are really good cars. They actually get a lot of their parts from mitsubishi. I've been really fond of the new Sonata. It's got a more powerful engine than the Mitsubishi Galant and it looks so SWEET. Better than the top three.

So this new gem is no big surprise. I think they're thinking of putting out a speedster too. Great post tho.

Nice, but I don't think I would buy a Korean car, ever.

Korean cars have the worst resale value of any vehicle in the market today. They need to seriously turn around their image/perception to change that.

I think the Japanese car makers need to pay closer attention to the Koreans,

Nice. I even like the lines of the current Tiburon.

Japanese cars started off as the cheap alternative and mutatted to what they are now. Hyundai seems to be following that pattern.

I have never understood why Hyundai hasn’t come out with an upmarket brand such as Honda’s Acura, Toyota’s Lexus, and Nissan’s Infinity brands. Oh, I almost forgot, BMW’s MINI!

I've got to agree with C4, I don't think I could by a Korean made car. The resale value is nill, and they feel so cheaply made. But, I do have to admit that I like the design.

Nice, reminds me of the first gen Ford Focus hatch.

Now if they can get Lotus to do the suspension again and this time follow the Lotus specs!!!! The original Excel turbo was to have a lotus badge (suspension by Lotus), but Hyundai did not follow the receipe to the letter (probably cost concerns from the bean counters).

And Hyundai, FWIW, is considering a luxo-brand, but the dealers want a pick-up truck or some such nonsense.

Very nice design! I hope it drives well though, something none of the Hyundias or Kias do yet.

Looking at this thing, it remainds me of the European Ford Fiesta which is a smaller version of the Ford Focus.

Did Hyundai hire some ex-Ford designers?

Looks nice, but the MINI is still a nicer looking car. Sorry!

And then there is some resemblance to the current Fiat Stilo:

I do like the Ford Fiesta.

I like the Ford Puma too if it is still available.

I think that is the Fiat Stillo Michael Schumacher edition but it's not so hot for some reason.

How much I like the Hyundai depends on the pricing structure of course. It has to be under $20,000 and have lots of standard equipment to compete with Scion tC, Mazda 3, and Honda Civic, not to mention the MINI.

Nope, that is just a concept. They need a bigger platform to compete in WRC. They are concentrating on Focus. That is a marketing tool, trying to show you what your car can turn to be.
