Propper storage of slicks for winter , HELP !

I obtained my 1st set of slicks. They have 2 short track days on them already and were a gift so its not like I need them to be perfect just good.
I live in milwaukee so the Temps aren't all that bad here in winter. So can I store my slicks in my unheated garage ? It is insulated and has multiple carports connected so I don't think Temps are a big issues. I will also deflate them down to 5psi , wrap them in seran wrap and I will have cardboard AND carpet underneath them.
do you think they will be ok ?
I can't keep them in my apt , my wife is having a fit ( lol I tried the lamp stand trick but didn't work )
I am reading conflicting info online so I would like to know how you guys go about the storage of your racing tires..
Thx you !

Cheers,

Doesn’t really matter where you put them, just remember not to move them when they are cold, and keep them out of the sun. UV light can degrade the compound and make them crack. Also, any type of flexing of the rubber when cold can make them crack. Ideally, locate them in a climate controlled location in the basement.

welllllllll , fortunately I found a perfect spot in my daughter's room and hid them . Lol she said she liked how I set it up and began to rearrange and clean up her room 🤣 😅 😂 so I guess it worked out well ..I have them wrapped in plastic under blankets and away from heat And sun light, o yea and I also took the psi down to like 5psi on them too..
and what you told me is the what pretty much anyone who I know has had slicks now has told me..its safe to store them cold so long as your follow close careful instructions with them...

Lol, what tires ???? I shoulda put them under her bed to elevate it off the floor...I wonder if that'll hide them better..but where they are they're far away from the heaters or sunlight
