tesla model x crash reenactment
#3
Just when the company is under financial stress with bonds coming due, and crucial ramping of model 3 production. When shortly after the incident, the victim's wife said the driver had complained to the dealer many times the car steer itself toward the barrier I was skeptical. I gather this is his daily route to work so I can see the complaints can in fact be true.
These few fatal crashes of go shows the autonomous driving cars are still in their infancy. Humans are very error prone but there are so much we can do and take for granted that computer and sensors are very challenged to. The computer code have little notion of the dire consequence of that barrier. It probably treat it no different from a ball of tumble weed on the highway. It is very scary that in this incident, the driver assist relies so heavily on tracking the pavement white strips.

they probably need to suck it up and certify roads are marked and handled properly by the autopilot and only enable it on those roads. The last 5 miles of my commute is on unmarked roads, and a one lane road I wonder what a tesla would try to do there
If this guy knew it did that every time and still got killed there, well I do not feel sorry for him
