Dodge Charger
I'm not one for this new generation muscle car rebirth crap. That new Charger concept there looks too conservative, non-menacing, and what's with the sedan look?
Come on.
Same goes for the new GTO. Like wtf? Is nothing sacred anymore? All that thing is, is a glorified Grand Prix.
Muscle cars shouldn't be reborn unless they take the time to mimic MOST of the old styling that they are famous for. They're left best untouched. Let's keep restoring the old ones, and quit with the yuppy-puppy next gen b.s. for something like muscle cars. That's my opinion anyways.
This may so kinda ironic being that I'm a part of the new MINI craze, created from something that was hot awhile back. But the new MINI has more of the same styling cues than that new Charger or GTO. I think it's sick.
Cheers,

If you judge it without the Charger name, I would say it sounds like a cool car.
Look at what GM and Ford are offering with their bread and butter sedans and compare it with the cool stuff Chrysler is doing. The 300, Magnum and Charger are RWD cars, with Hemi's and handling taken from their German cousins.
If you are an American car enthusiast and want a reasonable priced 4 door, these cars are the best deal in town!
It is good to see Detroit come up with some cars that I would be seen in!

I always like the older Camaros. Mainly the '67. This new one looks pretty sweet. It still encorporates more of the original Camaro styling than that Charger does, that's for sure. Be nice to see this new Camaro on the streets.
Cheers,
Cheers,
MINI-MadMan: My dad had a 69 while we were growing up, so I will always have a soft-spot for early Camaros. Man did I love that car! Unfortunately it caught a bad case of rust and didn't survive long enough to be handed down to me...
SpiderX: Slightly off-topic (as by materials, you are probably referring to cheapo plasticky bits some domestic cars use), but here's a very responsible use of material: a partly biodegradable truck with a hydrogen engine and canvas roof.

Well, if you're on this forum, I'm guessing you either have or will soon have a new MINI, that you may possibly keep rust-free to hand down to your child(ren) some fine day. I'm sure they'd love ya for it.
Cheers,
Not a bad looking car, really, and it should be pretty decent since the Chrysler 300 is.
I kinda like the new GTO, too. Nice, understated, Holden Monaro with just a few tweeks. Wasn't the original GTO a glorified Tempest?

Well, if and when that new Camaro does come out, hopefully it won't look too different thn those computer and hand sketched pics. It looks pretty slick, and still has a lot of old style Camaro features.
Uh.......swastica-style rims, Clo??
Think they're not really close to that. But everyone has their own opinion I guess.
Non the less, still looks hot. I'll be making a trade for whatever I have for that beast when it hits the showrooms.

To me, the Charger has the same exterior design problem as the 300 and the Crossfire - it looks great up front, but the rear end is every bit as exciting as a ten-year-old Dodge Stratus. What is up with that?

This Charger doesn't quite work out for me. But it is a much better car than the frumpy Intrepid it replaces.

I'm not buying a D-C vehicle, but I'm glad they're doing what they're doing.
I can't fathom why they thought it best to make a 4-door Charger tho.. and the styling falls a little short of what it could be.. probably should've called it a Valiant

I think they foobarred the front end of the Crossfire, it looks like a K-car for gosh sakes! The concept had stacked projector beam headlights, I'm thinking they were scared of looking like they were copying Cadillac.
I'm all over the new Mustang GT though
got a black one coming in October.

Especially in that super dark blue, at night with the headlights on.
Hemi?

I ran accross a drawing of the design somewhere (can't find it now) and
its not a true hemispherical head design. The hemisphere is really more like a 3 turned down. It has a big pointed ridge in the center between the 2 spark plugs. Our MINI on the otherhand actually is very close to the original "HEMI" design. The new chrysler hemi is a cool engine design even if it is a GAS HOG!

Not a bad looking car for a 4 door Dodge.

But, isn't it illegal to have that point up front? Other than the swastika-themed rims, I kinda like it.
