1-Day Car Rental in San Antonio, TX ... Which Would You Choose?
I'll be in San Antonio in September for a few days and rather than rent a craptacular rental car for all 3 days, I am going to rent something cool for only one day (most of my time will be spent on the Riverwalk at bars and restaurants anyway). Searching has found this place, but I am definitely open to others. So, if price DOES matter, which would you choose?

Anyway, I'm leaning toward the Viper GTS as the best bang for the buck (when have those words ever gone together in the same sentence?
)
Also, they have luxury cars:

And SUV's:

For reference, a Sebring convertible costs about $210 for 3 days, so spending a few more bucks for a single day of fun seems reasonable.
Also, on the off chance that someone reading this lives in San Antonio and has a cool car, I'd be happy to offer use of my ~200 hp '03 MINI Cooper S for a day in Philadelphia in exchange for the use of your car for a day in San Antonio. :smile:

You have the right idea. A number of years ago (so many that it pains me to remember) I had an eight hour layover in Miami on a trip to Latin America. Not being up for an extended game of "spot the spy" at the airport terminal, I moseyed on down to the local rent-a-car and rented me a Porsche for the day. Looking like a million bucks, I cruised into Bertram Yachts, and got the VIP tour (and a free lunch to boot). It was better than effen Disneyworld. Best damn layover I've ever had. Go ahead and rent a racecar.
