Considering a new car
Considering a new car
I have the option of getting a new car and selling my 2006 MCS. I wanted some other opinions on the switch, I am pretty torn. I could get a 2005 BMW 330i ZHP with 122,000 miles in amazing condition. This has been my brother's car and he has kept the car in near perfect condition. The MCS has 66,000 miles and is also in great condition. Both cars are manual, both cars are awesome I just need some help deciding between the two. Any opinions?
Even trade or will you have shell out some cash?
How well have you maintained the mini?
Both will be fun. Cost of ownership will be high on both.
Is fuel economy at all a concer?
Which will make your daily drive more enjoyable?
Not sure the bmw will be more reliable but I will say after 90k mi i have replaced or the dealership talked me into replacing all of the following (not sure all were really needed):
Thermostat (real problem overheating)
Oil pan gasket (never seen a drip but they want to replace it again)
Engine mounts (?)
Vacuum leak (check engine light)
Power steering fan (?)
Power pump & motor (noisy and then warranty)
Also
Rear wiper and boot latch are both a bit wonky
I miss my Toyota sometimes...
