Best Baby-Mobile?

Sooo we are expecting and moving to Washington DC. I am selling my MINI, since we'll only need one car in DC, and my wife as a 2010 Corolla. We would keep the MINI but she can't drive stick.

I'm thinking when the baby is born to get rid of the Corolla and get something a bit bigger/more practical, but still fun to drive. Unfortunately it will be a slushbox.

Looking to spend around $20K

So far on the list:
-Subaru Impreza Wagon
-Mazda CX-5
-Countryman (used), but I'm not crazy about the reliability reviews.
-Honda CRV (used)
-Kia Soul
-Ford Focus 5-door
-Honda Fit

So far the new Subie wagon is at the top of my list, since it seems like a lot of car for the money (except I hate the CVT). Next is the CX-5, and so forth.

Any other suggestions?

I owned an 08 SX4, the mini suv model with selectible AWD...until I drove a MINI.

Thanks guys! I was thinking to get a used CM, but would like something with a bit more space.

Never considered the SX4, but with Suzuki moving out of the States I would be concerned with serviceability and enforcing the warranty.
