I'm looking at purchasing an 09 Yamaha R1 (Raven) edition since the Mini and BMW are paid off. Sort of like this one...

Just for a lil while. If mommy stops holding onto the bars maybe I would learn alot faster....

i originally started this thread because of the fact that he's using a rotrex s/c on the motor. much like Jan ovaer at RMW is working on. but nice bike anyways.

It's an interesting approach to getting 160 HP out of a 1250cc twin, but there are factory twins that make more power from smaller engines. The Ducati Testastretta engine is less than 1100cc and naturally-aspirated, and makes the same amount of power. Plus, with the Ducati engine being a 90° twin, it's better-balanced than the H-D 60° twin.

Still, I'd like to see the dyno plots side-by-side to see how much quicker the power/torque comes on with the larger H-D engine - I bet it's significant.

I still don't understand why a motorcycle needs to have forced induction. I mean is it really necessary to have the same power output as my MC?
