Msfitoy's new playmate!
Dude, that Fiat is awesome. I'd love to have one someday. Be sure to exadurate the mpg to build hype so that they will be imported.
MSFITOY, can you tell us any of the projects for GM you have worke on in the past? I want to be able to admire some part of GM vehicles. Was it as mundane as a cup holder or kick panel, or did you get to design any exterior bits?

In my 20 years of working for Ford/GM, I can name only a few claims...gen 2 Probe, Lincoln Mark X show car, and I was design lead in Ford GT studio but I quit in 2000 to move to GM...there, I can't think of any accomplishments worthy of mention...somedays, I wish I was a just a good welder...
What can I say...I had to follow the $$$...got kids to feed...
Besides, I think it was a good move in hind sight...my friends at Ford are now shaking in their boots while they wait to be wacked before August 1st...

Monstrosity is right: i believe the Q7 is well over 5000 lbs.
The Q7 is almost GMC Yukon size, friggen massive. It's still no Yukon XL though, now that would have been devastating.
MSFIT, think GM is going to have a need for any mechanical engineers in 4 years time? Hahaha, I am starting college next month and I am going for mechanical.

It turns out there is another one in the country right now. It was at Cars and Coffee this morning. I got to sit in it! The guy was showing me the voice activation stuff. Apparently, it can even read your text messages to you although we couldn't get that to work. It's way cool and I hope I'll actually be able to buy one in a couple of years as a companion to my Clubman.
I got my BS in Electrical Engineering at a school formerly know as General Motors Institute (Kettering University). I have a lot of friends @ the big 2. I'm glad I'm in the Aviation industry and I hate Planes!
Past the occasional perks of driving cool car (or beating lame ones to death) working at at Ford or GM is pretty miserable. Especially in the factories where the bloated bureaucracies of the company and the Auto Union combine into one hellish mound of stupidity.
Plus GM and Ford have really put themselves in a bad spot. I wouldn't be surprised if we're down to the big one at some point.
