VW Passat seat help

I'm trying to get the seats out of a 2000 VW passat V6 sedan.
I have the bentley manual. It says undo the bolts and slide
back. But shows a photo of manual seats.

I have power seats. They won't slide back any further
than you nornally drive. The passat forum wasn't helpful.

Does anybody know how to get these things out?

THANKS

I have a 1999 Passat 1.8t with manual seats. Did you take off the track covers on the back?? I had mine out before I just cant remember how they came out. Try getting the rears first (slide the seat completely forward) then get the front 2 bolts.

hope this helps

Thanks.

If anybody needs to tell a friend in the future:
Unscrew the screw holding the bottom seat trim and
pry apart the seat trim (plastic parts) without ruining it.
There will be a 15mm nut that is obvious. Remove.
There are also 4 screws like perpendicular to that nutbolt, kinda
hidden behind that. Once this is removed the seat slides
back freely.

Do both sides, getting the seats to the rear.
Then disconnect the battery, and remove seat.
