So i started reading the book driver about the guy who drove the Us ocean to ocean in 31hours and 04minutes. The book made a ton of references to this movie. I finally watched it and it was breath taking. *Warning* there is very reckless driving in the video

If you have never heard of Alexander Roy, The Driver, Team Polizei, Gum ball, or Cannonball then don't watch because this stuff ISN'T for you

 

I thought this would be about a Buick, oh the disappointment......

 

The guy is actually driving a Mercedes v8 and they did the drive a second time in a ferrari and dub ed the sound in over. Its still a great movie.

 

There's some controversy over that movie. Some say he was actually driving the Mercedes (he had fitted the gyroscopic camera to it) but some of those downshifts/mis-shfts seem awfully real. I'm not sure you could do that on a track or dyno.

Yeah i saw the vid w/ map, it made it to real though. When you watch it full screen at full volume its like you are actually there.
