Atleast they lost the distinctive grill they tried to brand with a year or so ago. That was ugly. Also personal preference but I think the clear tail lights ruin an otherwise okay looking rear.
this was the main reason why i didn't get the turbo version when i
bought my LegacyWagon 2 yrs ago.
even with my NA 2.5i SE i can only get about 23mpg on surface
roads.
which is fine for me cause it eats regular gas.
only about $35-38 per fillup and lasts me 3.5weeks. not bad!

I like the new Impreza hatchback. The worst aspect are those darned clear tail lights, YUCK!
It's the same engine that's been tuned to move the torque down lower in the rev range. Me thinks it may have a smaller turbo to accomplish that.
We've got a 2005 Forester XT. It's a wonderful car.
With 4 snow tires on it there's almost nothing that will stop it. But unless you drive like granny you'll be burning lots of gas.
Best mileage we've ever gotten has been 24 MPG on the highway with the cruise set at 65. That was agony for me.:impatient
I had a 2000 Forester & it's mileage wasn't great either. Between 24 & 28 MPG.

IMO, the last gen front end with the fuselage and wings front end (thats what its supposed to be if you didn't know. It pays homage to Subaru's parent company Fuji Heavy Industries who started out making planes) looks a lot better than this new Chrysler Sebring style front end. Just me.
insideline has some spy shots of the STi (hatch). it's not too bad. i like
how it has the flared fenders. sideview almost reminded me of the M-coupe.
i noticed from their tape work that if you cover up that ugly grill the
front end isn't nearly as bad...so if you get an aftermarket grill (which im
sure there will be many available in the future), you could potentially
make the car look somewhat decent.

Ahhh, IMO, they shouldn't have changed the WRX/Impreza from what it used to be. I finally started to appreciate that grille for its styling. Now what they should do is bring this beast over here.

The car photographs well. See it in person, also check out the interior as well, then tell me what you think. At least it is better looking than the sedan for sure. Lets see what they do with the STI.
I drove the crap out of a new WRZ last weekend. It is still a great driving car. Crashton, I think I was over zealous on my ugly remark. I was just hoping better from Sub.

if those came in SMG/DSG type i might be on it. i want one car in the
houshold that is AWD with AT so that the wife can use it on occassion
in the snow.
it'd be my primary car none the less. right now
it's my legacywagon which i like somewhat so no big rush.
otherwise i might look into the new G35x's. those look fantastic lowered
on 19's.
