Favorite Monterey area roads?

I'm meeting up with some friends this weekend for some BBQ and a bit of motoring on our way back to San Francisco. I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for roads to drive (of the tightly twisting variety). Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Colin

Carmel Valley road from Carmel to Greenfield.

Jolon Road - Mission Road from King City to Lucia.

There are others but those are my favorites.

Also there are some good Santa Cruz area roads as well.

One of my favorite drives in the Monterey area is Highway 25 out of Holister.

Great road, no one is out there, well marked turns, some high speed straight aways, and good asphalt.

But nothing beats the drive from Monterey to Hurst Castle

HWY 25 outside Hollister to Carmel Valley Road, through the great wide open, back into Monterey/Seaside... Good long twistie fun...

Try 17 mile drive in Monterey/Pacific Grove, but it costs a few dollars...

You used to be able to go the gate, on the PG side, and tell them you were going to the post office on the 17-mile drive - some law said that they couldn't charge you ... don't know if this is still true.

Go out Carmel Valley Rd, Central Ave, King City Rd to 25, take 25 North to Panoche Rd (J-1) and travel that out to I-5 - nothing but fun all the way!
