For anyone interested in learning better driving skills and just having a HECK of a good time participating in Northern California track events such as high performance driving schools, this may be for you.

The BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA), Golden Gate Cahpter, welcomes MINI owners to join and participate in its regular events. There are several of us who have already done so, and let me tell you IT IS A BLAST!

The last two events were a Car Control Clinic at Candlestick Park and a track school at Laguna Seca. These are great opportunities to see what your car can REALLY do in high speed situations, and to learn from some high caliber instructors. Here's the website if you're interested. http://www.ggcbmwcca.org/

And these guys really seem to like having the MINIs around -- you know, adds a definite COOL factor to the events . And many instructors have been impressed with the MINI's handling characteristics. If you've ever had thoughts of ripping around a racetrack in your Mini or MCS, give it a try!

I just want to chime in here with a "what he said!" I went to both the Car Control Clinic at Candlestick and the High Performance Driving Experience at Laguna, and I had a great time, and learned a lot. These guys really do welcome MINIs! And the caliber of the instruction is very high. Friendly, fun, very educational!

Besides, you get to drive your car to the limit and not get a ticket!

And GGC is putting on 10 autocrosses this year! Ten!
