I just bought a 2003 mini cooper with 39k miles. On the test drive I noticed hesitance but read on forums and saw a lot of people complaining about a generally hesitant throttle response, so I thought I might try the sprint booster to get it fixed. Now that I own it, I'm noticing the clutch slipping when I accelerate too quickly or uphill.

Does anyone know an affordable bay area mechanic with experience in R50 clutch replacements?
