Not sure if you'r still looking for a tool, i'll be getting one soon, along with a pulley. If you'd like to use it, maybe we could work together and do our pulleys at the same time.

Austin, are you really up near Shasta? how far is that from us in San Jose? I want to order my pulley, but I'm afraid I won't be able to hook up with you guys and get around to doing the install quick enough to return the pulley to way. What kind of availability are we looking at?

 

No, no. I'm from marin haha. im about 2 hours from san jo. not sure what you mean by returning the pulley to way... if you're talking about the pulley puller tool, you don't need it as Eric and I both have the tool. The belt tensioner tool, which we also need, is to be borrowed from another member on here. All you need to order is a pulley, a belt, and colder spark plugs. we've got the tools all covered i think.

oh, right. I meant 'return the pulley-puller to way'. I ordered the serpentine belt removal tool which should be here by the end of the week. Do you guys have somewhere to do the install at? Can't do it at my place because of the stupid HOA rules.

[edit] I ordered my pulley, belt, plugs and alta tensioner stop. I didn't request the pulley puller, so hopefully they'll be here before you guys do your installs...

 

Oh sweet! so now we've got the belt tool. cool, cool. Well im still waiting on my belt, gearbox mount bushings, and plugs. we haven't worked out a place yet. We could do it at my place if you guys are both willing to drive to the north bay, and deal with my mom haha. Not sure if she'll be super excited with that though. Well I'll ask eric again what he thinks, and i'll check with my mom tomorrow. We should count on about 5-6 hours to do this thing, i'd think, and san jo is probably about 2 hours from here...

All of my orders have supposedly shipped, so by weeks end I should have my pulley, belt, plugs, tension stop bracket (the alta one) and my belt removal tool. I also bought a CAI from the marketplace, so hopefully that shows up soon and I can do it all at once!
