Hi, I'm new to the forum and taking care of Mini as well and was wondering if anyone knew of any good service mechanics for Mini in the Sebastopol area?

In Santa Rosa you have 3 choices. GS Tuning off Santa Rosa Avenue near Costco (REME members reciecive a 10% discount on parts and labor), North Bay Bavarian off Piner Road, and Tilmans off Guerneville Road.

I am no longer under warranty and don't have the ESC. I will likely be needing an oil change and a new clutch soon. I'm debating the merits of going to the dealer versus a local mechanic. I live in Oakland. The service folks in Concord are nicer but much more expensive ($2500 for the clutch and something like $300 for the oil change) than San Francisco, where it all seems doubtable. Any recommendations?
