Wow! The quest for performance upgrades go unabated, as I saw many MCS with pulley upgrades, strut brace kits, Mini Mania Cold Air intake and Borla exhaust systems (even one with AC Schnitzer exhausts). Forget the JCW up[grade if you're a little short on dough: there are other ways to get 200+ bhp with a combinaton of the above upgrades, at considerably less cost.

There were far more MINIs this year and somewhat fewer Minis, Austin Healeys, MGs, no Sprite, a couple of Morris Minors, one MG-TD.

Borla's rep was there, and there was a workshop on the Mini SU carb. I could not stay for Sunday's drive to Downieville. It would have made my day a perfect one, and avoid the terrible traffic situation near the Infineon raceway.

Mini Mania's annual Open house should get better as time goes on.
