Wish I could caravan with you but I'm coming from SF Look forward to seeing you there!
Anyone up for a meet on Friday/Friday night? I'll be at the BMWCCA dinner on Sat night and can't make the Pub thing.
An Carol/Larry, let me know if I can help with the ticket distribution for SF. Perhaps we meet up at Crissie Field for a BBQ or something

You see I work at the BMW/Mini/RollsRoyce design studio down here in Newbury Park and I know of at least two interesting people that will be in attendace in addition to all the Mini madness that is already scheduled.
The Design Director of the Mini brand will be there and will more than likely taking part in Mini Takes the States up until the Las Vegas stop. Also attending will be one of my co-workers who is responsible for the color and trim work on among other things the Traveller Concept from last year's Frankfurt Auto Show... Both very down to earth cool people so I think we will all have a great time!
Is it too early to ask about possible caravans up to Monterey?
I'll be leaving work Friday before lunch and I've got motel reservations for the weekend at the Motel6 on Reservation Rd...
3 weeks to go!!

hi folks! just a few things to mention/questions..
1. when will the tickets/passes be sent out? i haven't got mine yet and gosh, its august tomorrow
2. places to stay... i've scoured the boards and not much mention of this.. that either means people are ok to camp out in the corral area (or somewheres at the track) or... I need to find something quick and how! :-o is there a special rate for MINI/Mini owners somewhere, etc? Thanks!

Tickets just now being sent out.
I ordered my tickets direct from the raceway back in January. The usual deal is they send the tickets out in late July. I just received those tickets last Thursday. If you ordered tickets thru a club, the club probably just got them in the last few days, I assume they'll need a few day to repackage them for mailing them out.

Laguna Seca is putting the tickets and passes in the mail tomorrow Monday July 31st. I should receive them by Friday. Anyone going on the NorCal MINI
Run or just want to meet up at the Wooside start let me know at info@norcalminis.com
Anyone interested in meeting up Fri night in San Jose 8 pm
or
Sat night 8 pm in Pleasanton
Thinking of Starbucks does anyone know of one in those towns?
Have a few Corral Passes for Sat and Sun.
You would still need to purchase entrance tickets from Laguna Seca.
I will post when tickets/passes arrive.

Let's watch for the mailman.
All tickets/passes mailed out yesturday except those who were signed up for the Sat NorCal MINI run and/or have made other arrangments with me.
Encluded in the mailing was parking instructions and a list of events for Laguna Seca. I will be sending an e-mail with a list of all the other events I know of in the Monterey area for that weekend.
We are still offering Corral Passes up to and during Monterey Historics.
See you there!

For All MINI/Minis signed up with corral passes, there will be MINI/Mini parade laps around Laguna Seca Raceway for both Saturday and Sunday. These are scheduled for 12:25-12:45 on Saturday and 12:10-12:25 on Sunday. Those are scheduled times, subject to change depending on how events & conditions on the track are going. Owners should be with their cars and ready to go 15 minutes ahead of posted times to maximize track time and be prepared for delays if track needs to be cleared from previous race.
The parade laps will lead out of the gate from the paddock to the track near Turn 5. We will head up the hill towards turn six and then to the corkscrew. Be sure to have a “clean” Mini, big smile, and your camera.
Gary Anderson & Barry Brazier of MC2 Magazine will be directing the parade laps
