NorCalMINI's will repeat the plan from last year. Meet at East Bay MINI (thursday early am) and head out to Fresno to join Midcal MINI's. We will post it here and on the NorCalMINI website after the Jan 29th run/meeting. There are a few already signed up.

What are the rates for your living room floor? I'd like to reserve the spot under the air hockey table if we have a gathering on Wednesday night.

As long as you don't classify miller, budweiser, or that other crap, as beer we will get along just fine

I am leaving on 3/21 and arriving in Las Vegas on 3/22. Weather permitting the route will be via South Lake Tahoe, Owens Valley and Death Valley with an overnight in Bishop. The bad weather in the Sierras route is to Bakersfield on 3/21 and Las Vegas on 3/22 via Lake Isabella and Death Valley. Route maps and hotel info for Bishop and Bakersfield are on the REME web site.

Look under Forum: Events by Others - AMVIV Routes

Run maps are pdf files.

If your schedule permits an earlier departure and you would like a two day Mini run to AMVIV maybe I will see you in Placerville on 3/21.

Howard,

Jessica & I plan to leave on 3/21. If weather and roads are good we would like to join you. I would prefer to take two days to get there. I like this route.

Hope to see you in Placerville.

We have made hotel reservations for Las Vegas 3/22-3/25, but we haven't made any for 3/21 yet.

Ditto here...I "have" to leave on the 21st because I'm having my hardwood floors refinished while I'm gone...so I have to be outa the house Plus I have an install scheduled with Randy to do a crank pulley 'n swaybar on Thursday, Friday is a tour around the track in a Mario Andretti Indy type car with me behind the wheel, Girlfriend, Terrie, with be in a 2 seater Indy car at the same time, Saturday is the Phil Wicks Driving Academy , Sunday "Valley of Fire" run. Head for home on Monday. Nothing like packing in the FUN in a few short daze. Might have to throw down a few brews at the Irish Pub in there somewhere.....Oh, food might be good too.

I'm going to heading out from Tahoe on 3/21. Doing it in 1 day like I did in August.

If the weather is ok or unless someone posts a 1 day route that looks more fun we will be going the folloing route, ...

US-50 to US-395
US-395 to CA-120
CA-120 to US-6
US-6 to US-95

You can see this route on maps.google.com:
South Lake Tahoe to Las Vegas

US-395 was real pretty and CA-120 was like a little roller coaster.

I hope to be leaving from Tahoe early Tuesday morning as well... all in one day, while my wife leaves a little later and will head straight down I5. I was planning on joining Glenn if he was going to do it in one day... its kind of a mute point though until we know what the weather brings.

Any late risers out there?

I plan on leaving around noon on Thursday (3/23) -
Highways: 152 - 5 - 46 - 99 - 58 - 15
494 miles, approximately 8.5 hours (with breaks)

Will any other (normal? ) people who want to sleep in on a day off, be on these roads on Thurs afternoon / evening?

T
