should buy for there members to use. Hard to justify buying it myself
occasional use. But,what the heck, maybe I'll get one. Or maybe my wife can
buy it for my birthday.
No, I'm not going to Vegas. Sounds like a blast! Have fun. I'm sure I'll
be on some of the Norcal runs soon. I joined the club a couple
of weeks ago.

even if the light went out that could jus signal that the issue is not "currently" being detected.
I have tho reset my light almost monthly as I have a header with a cat but, it picks up a low threshold signal some times.
I did purchase a reader from Mini Mania but it seems that I can only read MINIs with it.
Had to reset a code on another car and got a $ 69 reader from Kragens and can now read the mini, a mercury, a toyota, a volvo, a VW ...Heck EVERYTHING with OBD2
I would read it even if the light is out just to know what was happening

The check engine light came on when I was going at high speed
and my car developed Ice buildup in the throttle body.
Caused by cold, moist air accelerating into the Alta intake
causing the ice-up in the throttle Body. The Engine started running rough
with a power loss and the light came on. All the conditions were right for
icing. I'm a pilot and we have to watch out for carb. ice when flying.
That's why there's a "Carb Heat" lever.
Interesting isn't it?
If I had the stock intake/aircleaner setup it wouldn't have happened.

Like bpago said, even though the light went out, there's still a code stored in the ECU. When you do hook up with someone that has a code reader, please report back to us the code for future problem diagnosis.
I'm interested in your theory of icing in the TB, I've never heard that described in the context of a car, but I understand what it is.
