NE Driving Schools
NE Driving Schools
As an Xmas present to myself, I wanted to get some lessons on autocross or track. I autocrossed about 30 yrs ago in a Triumph GT6+ and had a real hoot doing it.
I figure it might be tough during the winter, but would love to know what options are in New England/Upstate NY.
Thanks

You have a ton of options. First find you local BMW club. They hold autoX and driving schools. You have 3 clubs up in your area,Boston, White Mountain, and Ct.Valley.

In NE / NY there are a lot of options. The local-ish tracks are NHIS in Loudon, NH, Lime Rock in Connecticut, Watkins Glen in NY, and Le Circuit Mont Tremblant in Quebec.
The following BMWCCA chapters hold events at some of these tracks:
White Mountain chapter - http://www.wmc-bmwcca.org/
Boston Chapter - http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/
Connecticut Valley - http://www.ctvalley.org/
Delaware Valley - http://www.delvalbmwcca.org/
Patroon Chapter (Syracuse area) - http://www.patroonbmw.org/
There's also SCDA - http://www.scda1.com/
and COM - http://www.comscc.com/
Some people have mentioned the Northeast Chapter of the Audi Quattro club as another option, but I haven't done any of their events - http://www.neqclub.org/
I highly recommend the BMWCCA schools - I've been to there schools, COM, and SCDA and prefer the BMWCCA events.

The Boston BMWCCA is a great group of people. They run all sorts of events and the prices are reasonable.
As do most other clubs in the area, they autocross at devens. (I have video of two of them here)
They also run track days throughout the year, and ice racing in the winter (if winter ever arrives!!)
