December 17 and there were two choices. Eat at Dave's with other Minites or take Christmas to our oldest daughter. Family won. The youngest and I set out from (nearly) Portland, Maine in the morning. Jr3 starts hard, so it was onto 10:30 when we finally hit the road. We did ok, being small and all (no respect from the SUVs) but we are pretty agile...

South to the 495 cut off, then on down to nearly 290.

We did not see a single Mini the whole time. I had fondly hoped that we would see a bunch of fellow Minis headed for Famous Daves, or at least the requisited number of Minis on the road...could have been because we were travelling at a sedate 5 over, and Minis, being highly visible, do not highrise. Tell me?

We took Christmas to the oldest daughter (Jr1) in the country north of 290. Headed back, and I (painfully) let Jr3 drive. Still saw no Minis in the nearly 150 miles home. WTF? Are you all stay-at-home types?

Hello there MittenHed! Just happened across your username and thought I'd say "Hi". I've been lurking over at the BB, but rarely check the Opinions forum. The 120-130 series forum has been entertaining.

We usually see a few (3-5) Mini's during a trip back to Pennsylvania (~350Mi each way). Hard to get a wave out of them though, interstate and all.

Almost ordered an '06 of the PW/B variety. Before we could place an order we were seduced by an '03 IB/W Cooper.
