greetings from NH

My wife and I just put money down on a 2006 MCS this past Thursday. It is Space Blue with Silver roof/bonnet with space grey/black intereior with silver dash, and has the optional R98 wheels with sport, weather, and premium package. We can't wait to get in it! It's being shipped from Virginia and should be in Boston in a about a week. We just recently sold our Honda S2000 and had a lot of fun with it and an S2K club we belonged to, we look forward to meeting fellow Mini owners and future meets.

Yes the S2K was awesome, problem is, it sat in the garage hibernating all winter long. I wanted something I could have fun with year round!!

I work in Manchester, I have a nice fun commute taking Rte 43 through Northwood, Deerfield, Candia...can't wait to take the Mini through the hills and curves!

Mini of Peabody was OK, but they weren't willing to swap cars with other dealers. We really wanted the 2006 and didn't want to wait for the 2007. Herb Chambers were more than happy to find just what we were looking for at other dealers across the US. How are Mini of Peabody with service? I've always done my own maintenance on my cars, but with free maintenance, it's tempting to let someone else do it...

Thanx for the Welcome!!

We have only gone to Mini of Peabody for service twice. That was for the the 2 Free Oil Changes. We have had no problems with our Mini at all. In the future i have a Mechanic Friend who will do the Oil. Brakes, Coolant etc as needed. The 40 + Miles one way to Peabody is a bit much. Our warranty will be up on 03/01/07. Hopefully, the Mini will continue to be trouble free after the warranty expires. We both work at Saint Anselm College here in Manchester & our Commute to work is only about 7 miles round trip per Day.
So we do not put a lot of miles on our Cars. The Mini only has 19,100 original
miles on it. If you see a Pepper White/ Black Roof with NH plate HAFPINT,
that is ours.

Yeah, it's a hike to Peabody, I'll probably end up doing maintenance myself. I enjoy doing it, just not as fun in the winter!! I'll keep an eye out for ya, look for a Space Blue with NH plate KANSCHO.

MINI of Peabody's service department is excellent. It's worth the 200 mile trip (one way) for me.

Wow that's quite the hike. We just did a tour of Burlington, VT this past September with the S2000 club I belong to. It was the same weekend as the "Street Rod" weekend. What a beautiful area. Thanx for the advice!

Congrats on finding what must be one of the last space blue/silver minis out there. MOP is certainly tops for sales and service, it's a shame they couldn't accommodate you for the sale, but you should certainly go there for service. Hopefully you'll join us for the many events we have around new england every month.
