Vermont here I come
My fiance got accepted to UVM and I just wanted to see who else is up there. What's the weather like? Good driving weather most of the time or lots of mud and snow like I fear? Also any AutoX racing up there? I've kindof hesitated down here because I'm usually busy on the weekends but I'd like to start. I'd also like to at least know someone else up there.

There are 5 MINIs in the Burlington area that I know of. I've got a velvet red Cooper (I also go by "snid" on the other MINI boards). There's a chili red S that belongs to Lister/MGB Boy, a yellow Cooper whose owner made it into the local newspaper when she got it as a graduation gift, and a couple of silvers whose owners I don' t know yet.
Snow tires are still on our cars up here, in fact, it's snowing right now. Mud is only an issue on the dirt roads, and I usually avoid them anyway, You will _need_ snow tires if you want to drive between November and April
The motoring opportunities are limited by both weather and tourists, but not enough to really worry about.
There is a sports car club of vermont whose webpage I stumbled upon earlier, but I'm not a member and don't have the address handy. It looked like they did some auto-x and some timed rally stuff.
Got any Vermont / Burlington questions, let me know... jtross@mac.com
I'm trying to drum up interest in an Italian Job viewing party somehwere up here... I'll start a new thread for that, though.

If you're broadband enabled, here's a 30MB quicktime movie I shot of one of the area roads:
