nyc shop
so my wife was driving her car on a very cold day and apparently a little low on oil. the car stalled and I went and filled it with oil and brought it the mile or so home. the noise is there to stay so I'm guessing its either the timing chain tensioner or a hydraulic lifter. I called a local place that claims they work on minis and described what happened, the guy said "motors done, 6400 for a replacement"
sure, right away. anyway if anyone can recommend a good mini shop in NYC or close to, I'd rather pay to have it fixed rather than doing it my self, I have a lot going on and my wife is saying she wants a new mini (s convertible). my other option is just to tear into it and fix it and if its two far gone buy a replacement ($2-2500) and drop it in.
-so I need some shop recommendations
the car is a r50 02 5 speed.
