I am driving my 02 MINI Cooper from Florida to Brooklyn (Park Slope).
I will be treating her to the dragon's tail and then the blueridge parkway on the trip.
But where is a little MINI to park in the big city?
Does anyone have any suggestions for storage in that area.
I may just leave her with friends in New Jersey
and take the train the rest of they way.
MINI sure will appreciate your help
thank you

If your friend has a house and it's out by the burbs then by all means leave your car there and take the train into Brooklyn. Parking in Park Slope means street parking and I can guarantee your car will get bumper damage if you can find a spot in the first place. If your car has the factory driving lights then count on a SUV to back into it and push it into the grill. Also, most of NYC has alternate side parking rules. In Park Slope, that means about 2,3 or more days out of the week at certain hours, you have to move your car to the other side of the street or to another area. If not you'll get a parking ticket. Leave your car in NJ and have peace of mind that your car is safe and enjoy NYC.

But then there really is someting about driving the city in your MINI. And if you did the skyline and the dragon along the way it would be a shame to wimp out. My sojourns to brooklyn have shown that there are MANY MINIs there. And they looked pristine. They're parking somewhere. Persevere. MINIs don't like being left behind.
