I'm new to the Mini world. I just bought a 2013 Mini Cooper S Countryman a few months ago that has a stock stereo. There's no bluetooth and the aux cable connection with my phone doesn't sound good (issue with the port on my phone, not the cable or vehicle). I started researching after-market bluetooth stereos. I'm looking for one that will retain the round style, the fuel gage and possibly the speedo as well. I found some options online from China but the websites seemed sketchy with customers complaining about defective products or items never arriving after several months of waiting. I was wondering if anyone has upgraded their stereo with a similar unit (as the photo attached) or has any recommendations for me.
I'm pretty interested in doing this mod as well. I'm giving my 2012 countryman to my daughter next spring and I'd like to have better smartphone and backup integrations so it's easier for her to pay attention to the driving. It's on my list now. Sorry, I don't have more to offer, but I wish you the best.
i have 2013 mcs and it has basic stereo. One day i hope there is a good center console infotainment replacement or something. For the time being i got a usb powered bluetoother to 3.5mm audio connector. it can plug in right next to the aux jack and then connects to your phone on startup automatically.
