I just picked up my third Mini, a 2015 Countryman S ALL4 with Mini Connected. Out of the gate can someone tell me how to pause music when connected via bluetooth audio? No mater how many places I have looked and keystroke combos I have tried, I can not figure out how to pause without going to my iPhone. I have also tried via the Y cable and cannot figure it out there either. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I've looked for this as well. Sort of a pain. Of course, radio and cd do not have pause either.

Lower the volume?

 

thanks. Don't you think that is crazy? I listen to books quite frequently and the idea of having to go back to the phone is kind of nuts and defeats the purpose.

I am not sure what they were thinking. Consistently some bad user experience decisions.

Thank you, while very counter intuitive, your suggestion works perfectly. That somewhat unorthodox method should probably be more clearly labeled.

 

Glad it worked for you. I knew it worked when playing straight from my ipod (through the cable) and for the radio, but wasn't 100% sure how it would react with BT.

 

Does this also turn off the stereo power in the car? It does pause the phone playback as well, but it turns off the stereo. I'm non-mini-connected and the volume is also the "power".
