installing HU in mini with HK system

i looked at all the sticky's and couldnt find the info i was looking for.

i have components for up front, so im gonna completely remove the stock HU, cd changer, HK speakers/amp, and put in my new HU, comps, amp, and later, a sub and amp for that. but basically, i want to sell all my factory HK stuff. i know how to get the HU and speakers out, and im sure the stock HK amp is somewhere behind the rear panels? do i remove all the wires with it too or what? when i unplug the stock speakers, can i plug new speakers there (just wondering) and have them be powered off the new HU, or do i have to run completely new speaker wire to the doors?

I'd use all the stock connectors and wiring..

unless your going up a lot in power. Hardest thing on stereo installs is the wiring. There's some funkyness on the HK system, so do some searches and see what you come up with. It's not stickied, but it's in there somewhere.
