Hey everyone, I just bought an 06 Cooper S but I don't pick it up until Saturday. Anyways, I definetly want to upgrade the head unit, I have the harman kardon sound package. Now, I'm just wondering what kind of wiring kit I will need? I've read that I need an HK enabler, right?

As you will see with these links, upgrading JUST the HU of the H/K system will be no small feat. The H/K is a "system" and you can't really remove one component of the "system" very easily.

Upgrading any part of the HK system is a pain. In fact, speakers are almost impossible (there are a few 2 Ohm ones out there). The HU can be upgraded and you will need the Hk Enabler. (http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop.php?action=productshow&id=116)

You might also need an antenna adapter. If you tell Mikey at New MINI Stuff what radio you plan to use, he can probably get you the proper harness so that no cutting is required.
