Nav spits out CD automatically

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 Mini Cooper with OEM navigation. It's running software version 4-1/20. Every time I try to update the software to Version 27.1, the DVD spits out the CD after it reads it for 10-15secs. Nothing happens on screen.

I've download the ISO and burned an image disc. My Mac and my PC both read the CD just fine.

Help?

Maybe you just try another brand for the CD-R. I had the same problem with some brands, mainly the cheap ones.

Try TDK, Sony, Verbatim if possible and also burn at lowest speed possible !
This should help !

The unit seems finicky about reading CD-R's. Several people have reported problems, then success after re-burning on a different brand disc or using a different burner.

I'm having a similar problem. My MkIII Nav computer decided to start spitting out the Nav CD. I have two Nav CD's the 2002, and the 2006 one. It won't keep either disc in. No idea what the problem is, have a dealer appt Friday. Here's hoping it didn't fail at 51k miles.
