Suggestions for new head unit

Hello again,
I had previously decided on the Alpine..... until I was told that the illumination can't be changed to match the interior.
THis unit is still being considered, but I'd like some suggestions for an alternative.

My criteria are:
1. Nice match to the MINI's interior.... look similar to stock.
2. MFSW connectability.
3. Pre amp output for sub (multiple pres preferred)
4. Decent iPod interface (not a big issue.... but could be handy later)

Thanks for any advice.
Donald

I have the Eclipse CD5000, It matches all of your criteria but I wouldn't get it again. The iPOD interface and audio controls are difficult to use plus the iPOD interface freazes up every once in a while so you have to still keep your iPOD out.

The advanced audio controls (automatic sound - treb and bass adjustment) doesn't work well with my setup (Alpine amps and Polk speakers.) either

If I didn't spend so much on it I'd pull it out and get the Apline. One reason why you can't change the Alipine colors is the bio-lite display that is not supposed to wash out. Wash out is also a big prob on mine cause I have the sunroof.

Thanks for your comments,
Wash out is something that I hadn't given much thought to..... I should though, because my Pioneer in my truck cant be seen in daylight.

Keep the comments coming!

Head Unit

Go with a New Pioneer Bluetooth (BT) ready head unit.
You won't have too anything extra to answer your BT phone or other BT items.
