Aux port not working with XM

I just got a new 2006 Mini Covert and had the AUX interface installed so I could use my Roady 2 XM. Turns out it cut's out after about 10 min's and then the radio (basic flavor) does not recognixe the AUX port any more. I purchased anther XM and it did the same thing. However, my mp3 player works flawlessly.

Any body experience this? Any suggestions as to what is happening?

You most likely need a ground loop isolator. This happens a lot and this has fixed most, if not all, of this issue occurance.

I have a Roady2 w/ AUX and this fixed it for me.

You might also have considered getting the XM Direct unit. That'll allow you to plug straight in to the head unit.
