iPod in OEM armrest?

I was thinking about picking up the OEM armrest at some point, even though it's fairly expensive. I was reading the install instructions, and it seems that if you have the OEM phone kit the wires run through the armrest support and are hidden....this made me wonder if it was possible to run an iPod dock cable through the same location...maybe a DICE cable or even the OEM iPod cable. Hiding the iPod inside the sliding armrest would be perfect I think, very easy to access but hidden at the same time. So, anyone done it? Got pics?

I was thinking about doing this too. It looks doable, with the only caveat that where you feed the cable into the armrest compartment, you might need to dremel out a slot for the cable to sit in so that the lid can close all the way. However, the tray in the armrest is pretty small. A full iPod will fit, but it's pretty tight, and will be a little awkward to work the iPod controls. I've got the Dicelink installed, but I just left it and the iPod back in the boot compartment. I may eventually feed it up to the front of the car, but it works as is for now. I still haven't figured out how to operate the Dicelink properly, though - it's interface is somewhat non-intuitive.

Mikey that's awesome, the Icelink comes directly from the HU correct? I wonder how it would be best to route a DICE since the cable comes from the boot....While I'm here, any information on the Dension Gateway stuff? I see it on their site, but no-one sells it....
