Portable DVD into sound system

Does anyone know how to hook a portage DVD player to the speakers in a '02MCS? The speakers with the player aren't that great and we would really like to crank it up. Any advise anyone has is greatly appreciated.

An AUX imput is what you need. But...you have an 02. Heres what I would do.

Look in the marketplace for a radio from an 03+ MINI. Then, you can buy the AUX input and install it. Heres a link about it.

And heres the link to the out motoring AUX input.

Or if you would like less trouble than swapping out the radios, but better sound than the portable produces (but less sound quality than the radio swap and aux input), you could get a fm transmitting adapter, similar to the ones they make for Ipods. They aren't too expensive.
