Ugg. ANOTHER problem with my LCDs >-(
Ok, so we went to Grandmas house today, (30 minuites away) so we poped in a DVD. The first time! yay!
Well, kinda. They were both using headphones, and started saying,
"WoW! That supercharger whine is so loud, I can still hear it!"
I just started laughing. (I'm always talking about it, so the definitly know it when they hear it.)
I put the head phones on and head the same thing. But it wasnt the S/C whine.
There was some high pitched whining noise that was matched by the revs. It was definitly affected by the revs. I mean, it sounded JUST like the S/C. What WAS IT?
Ugg, what did I do wong this time?

You'll need to make a trip to Radio Shack and purchase a ground loop isolator and install it in the lines beween the DVD player and the audio inputs. This is a common problem for folks using the AUX input and "charging" their devices at the same time. It about a $19 item and should solve the problem for you.
Is this was you are talking about?

That wont work since the speekers for the LCDs arent even working. I have to use headphones. You probably saw my other thread.
Am I completely off base, and that will work?
Let me know,
William

Get the ground loop isolator. The same principles apply, whether speakers or headphones. The issue is that the DVD and monitor are both connected to the power, and then there is an electrical loop because they are also connected to each other. The ground loop isolator breaks the loop.
