Thin subwoofers...you dig em?

This seems to be a big topic here on NAM concerning audio in the MINI. I'm planning on putting a subwoofer in the Cooper (non S) trunk, where the tool kit sits. That space given is about 4 inches, good enough for those thin subwoofers.

I know some of you might say that the thin ones aren't as boom boom as the majority of subwoofers out there but i'm not into that boom boom coming out of a MTX SledgeHammer, you know what i mean.

Anyway, Clarion has that thin sub with amp and i heard it and i think its BS (no offence to the ones who own them already). Pioneer has those 10 - 12 inch subs which many are talking about, i haven't heard from them yet and i haven't seen any reviews on them either. But i have read a review on the Earthquake SWS-10/12 subs and this review raves about it.

So if anyone has any input on thin subs (whatever it is) please let me know, thanks.

Giancarlo

I'm hearing that those 12" Pioneers, hit em hard. Better than most of the subs out there.
