I asked about this in the Electrical Mods but didnt get any responses....

I dont live in the slums or the ghetto, but I am a little paranoid about all the equipment I have in my car.

Do any of you have any after market alarm systems like Viper, Phyton, etc...?

In general, without a key or towed on a flatbed, you most likely will never find a car stolen. Ever.

As to vandalism ... is an alarm going to stop vandals?
As to smash and grab. It seemed to help Wagn. but that was right outside his house. I doubt it will in a public parking space

 

To keep it safe, keep it out of sight.
One reason I like the OEM Nav. Radar detector - it's out there, whaddaya gonna do?
I have the OEM alarm, but it was more lark than security.
After years of owning Miatas, I don't necessarily expect to keep anything that's inside the vehicle. I hope to, but don't expect to.
