Best location for power in a MCS?

Now that summer is here, I find myself itching to get my stereo back in order. Previously I had 2 amps in the boot along with a sub, but kept getting engine whine, so I pulled it all out.

Based on posts I've read, it seems like putting the amps under the front seats will eliminate any engine whine I might get (this is in a MCS). My question is where is the best place to run the power from the battery? Up the middle and split it out from there to each amp, or should i run the power up the driver's side of the car instead?

I'm curious to hear what other people have done; those who have mounted their amps under the seats.
