NAV Monitor On/Off

Trying to acquaint myself with the MINI Nav system, I saw on the menu the phrase "Monitor On". Well, I pushed the button and the screen went blank. Going back into the menu the screen came up and now the phrase said "Monitor Off". How do I get the monitor back ON...pushing the button simply blanks the screen. Is there some reset?
Thanks for any help.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen it say "Monitor On" on my Nav screen. Seems kinda silly, since if the monitor is off, how could it show you an option to turn it back on? (i.e. Monitor = LCD screen)

Mine always says "Monitor Off" on the main menu - basically allowing you to turn the screen off at any time. The message is not reporting the current state of the screen, it is just the option to turn it off.

In short, don't worry about it. It's supposed to say "Monitor Off", and that's how you turn it off. Turning it back on is done just by hitting one of the two buttons.

Thanks, everyone, for your input. As soon as I can get some coffee in me, I will revisit the situation. Again, thanks.....
