mini brand i-pod adapter install

has anyone installed the i-pod adapter that mini sells themself? I bought one from my dealer but i'm too sure about installing it myself. anyone have pics? was it hard?

Well, we had the dealer install ours in the glovebox. The only advice I have is to leave more cord than you think you need. Ours is so short that it is hard to connect and disconnect the iPod from the driver's seat.

I've seen the instructions, and I've seen the final product installed (at the wiring harness.) It's not rocket science, but you do have to be comfortable cutting connectors and crimping on new ones. Be sure to get a good crimping tool - you don't want to have to troubleshoot a loose connection!

I saw it first hand in helping a fellow NAMmer troubleshoot his on again, off again ipod adapter.
