Hehe, I need to check the Nav/Audio forum more.

Thanks for the wiring Mugami. You didn't use a harness adapter, eh? You spliced directly into the Mini's wire's I mean... I got a harness adapter from Crutchfield, so I can put the stock unit back in whenever I want.

And as for woot, they gave me an RMA even though they weren't liable, and the new unit is supposed to ship out to me today. Yay!

Here are a few tips. Use the hot lead from the cigarette lighter. You can just run it right back under the plastic bits up through the back to the radio. Run a separate hot wire right back to the battery, trust me, you will save time doing this first instead of later. And lastly, the best ground i have found is the bolts securing the seats to the car. I have done quita a few installs onthe mcs' and i have learned my lessons through alot of trial and error.

Wagnbat, just though you should know that since reading this post I have become addicted to woot's daily deals. It is now my home page so I see it first thing in the morning and is oh so tempting. I have so far only ordered one item, but the 61' ultra-thin tv today is calling to me.

It's not the TV that's calling my name.

It's the little bag or random crap that comes with it
Woot's BOCs are the best (only managed to get in on one so far )
