I am ordering a MCS this Saturday and want the stock in dash CD changer. My brother in law is a manager at BMW and can get the 6 disk changer for me at cost. My question is will the stock in dash unit work just by adding the trunk CD changer or do you need to order the HK unit to add the additional CD changer? My car will take 6 months to get here. Any info would be greatly apppreciated. Thanks!

You do not need the HK unit. The wiring is in place in the boot to hook up the CD change to the stock head unit.
